In a Kuwaiti summer, cold water is not a luxury in the workplace. Neither is tea for guests. A chilled and boiling water tap gives both from one spout, and some models add sparkling water too. The RoyalFlow range has a tap for offices, ministries, clinics and diwaniya-style meeting rooms, plus two models for family homes. This guide explains how to tell them apart and what your building needs before installation.
TL;DR
- RoyalFlow offers five workplace taps (BCS, BC, BA, CA, CSA) and two home taps (C2, C4).
- B, C, S and A in the name stand for boiling, chilled, sparkling and ambient.
- For cold water and tea all day, look at the BC or BCS.
- For chilled water only, with no boiler, look at the CA or CSA.
- The chiller needs air around it, which matters in hot cupboards.
- Every project is quoted to the site. Our site survey is chargeable.

The range in one minute
RoyalFlow names are built from the waters each tap serves:
- B boiling
- C chilled
- S sparkling
- A ambient (filtered, room temperature)
So the BC serves boiling and chilled, and the CSA serves chilled, sparkling and ambient. Workplace models fit as a separate drinking water tap with a unit under the sink. Home models replace the kitchen mixer. Browse them all on our RoyalFlow page.
Choosing a workplace tap in Kuwait
Start with what people drink, then how many of them there are.
Cold water through the day, tea and coffee for visitors. The BC covers boiling and chilled with no gas to manage. Add sparkling and you have the RoyalFlow BCS Smart Tap, the full three-water version. The datasheet rates the 3 litre boiling tank at about 125 cups an hour and the 2.5 litre chilled tank at about 100 cups an hour. The under-sink unit is 230 × 435 × 395 mm.
Cold water only. Clinics, gyms, schools' staff rooms and receptions often never need a boiler. The CA serves chilled and ambient. The CSA does the same with sparkling added. Both run on 0.5 kW.
Hot drinks with room-temperature water. The BA serves boiling and ambient with no chiller.
The commercial taps come with a curved swan neck (C1) or a square neck (S1).

Specifications from the datasheets
| Model | Serves | Boiling | Chilled | Power |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BCS | Boiling, chilled, sparkling | 3 L, ~125 cups/h | 2.5 L, ~100 cups/h | 1.5 kW |
| BC | Boiling, chilled | 3 L, ~125 cups/h | 2.5 L, ~100 cups/h | 1.5 kW |
| BA | Boiling, ambient | 3 L, ~125 cups/h | None | 1 kW |
| CA | Chilled, ambient | None | 2.5 L, ~100 cups/h | 0.5 kW |
| CSA | Chilled, sparkling, ambient | None | 2.5 L, ~100 cups/h | 0.5 kW |
Cups per hour are manufacturer ratings. Sparkling models need a CO2 cylinder that is swapped as it runs out, so include it in your service plan.

For family homes: C2 and C4
The C2 and C4 are residential taps. They are not meant for workplaces.
The RoyalFlow C2 replaces the kitchen tap and serves boiling, chilled, sparkling and ambient drinking water, plus normal hot and cold. The datasheet lists a 2 litre boiling tank (about 75 cups an hour), 1.5 litre chilled and sparkling tanks (about 50 cups an hour), and 0.7 kW hot with 0.3 kW cold.
The C4 has the same tanks, a C-shaped spout and a rotating control with coloured lights. It is described as suiting households of up to 8 people, which suits larger Kuwaiti families. The boiling water is locked for safety: the control blinks red, and you turn it again within 3 seconds to pour. It needs a 32 to 35 mm hole in the worktop.
See both on our RoyalFlow residential page.
Kuwait's water and why filtration still matters
Most of Kuwait's drinking water comes from desalination plants run under the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy. That water then travels through building tanks and pipes, where it can pick up sediment or a change in taste before it reaches the pantry.
The WHO Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality recommend managing water safety from source to the point of drinking, not only at the plant. A filter at the tap is part of that. Every RoyalFlow datasheet says the tap can be paired with a Sovereign treatment system, sold separately, which also helps protect the boiler from scale.
We do not test water. We choose the filtration to suit the supply and the amount of water the site uses.
Before the installer arrives
The RoyalFlow connection document asks for:
- An 8 mm drinking-water feed from the cold supply
- An isolation valve on that feed that can be reached for servicing
- A switched, fused power outlet inside the cupboard
- A drain where the model needs one
- Cupboard space for the under-sink unit, with air around it, and room for the CO2 cylinder on sparkling models
The outlet pipe is C-type or U-type and must not be turned more than 180 degrees.
Heat is the local factor to plan for. A closed cupboard in a hot kitchen makes the chiller work harder, so keep the unit away from ovens and dishwashers and leave it room to vent.
After installation, our Comprehensive Maintenance plan can cover filter changes and servicing on set dates. For general upkeep advice, read our water dispenser maintenance tips for Kuwait.
Common questions
Which RoyalFlow tap is best for cold water in a Kuwait office?
All chilled models share the same 2.5 litre chilled tank. Pick by the other waters you need: the BC or BCS if you also want boiling, the CA or CSA if you do not.
Is a chilled and boiling water tap safe around children?
The home C4 has a hot-water lock. You turn the control, it blinks red, and you must turn it again within 3 seconds before boiling water flows.
Can I order a RoyalFlow tap online in Kuwait?
No. Each installation is quoted to the site. Contact us with your requirements and we will prepare a quote.
Does the sparkling model need gas?
Yes. The BCS and CSA use a CO2 cylinder, which is a regular consumable.
Why filter water that is already desalinated?
Water can pick up sediment or taste from building tanks and pipes. A filter at the point of use deals with that and helps protect the boiler.
